Student Summer Jobs with National Park Service

Heritage Documentation Programs seeks applications from qualified students for 2016 summer employment documenting historic sites and structures of architectural, landscape, and technological significance throughout the country. Duties may involve on-site field work and preparation of measured and interpretive drawings and written historical reports for the HABS/HAER/HALS Collections at the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. Projects last 12 weeks, beginning in late May or early June.
The deadline for applications is 7 March 2016.
Positions are open to currently enrolled students carrying at least a half-time course load at an accredited institution. Students must also be enrolled in courses for autumn 2016 in order to be eligible. (Graduating students who will not be attending college in autumn 2016 are not eligible.) IDP credit is available for qualified students who successfully complete the HDP summer program.
Positions are open only to United States citizens. Foreign citizens seeking summer employment may wish to look for opportunities via the U.S. National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (US/ICOMOS).
