Salem Flag Project Promotion Interest

My name is Cody Kleinsmith, and alongside being a student in the College
of Design here at UO I am also a member of the Salem Flag Project
Committee.
The Salem Flag Project is an open submission contest to, as the name
suggests, create a new flag for the City of Salem that both identifies
better with flag design principles than the current relatively unknown
flag, as well as generate a larger sense of community both in Salem and
throughout the state. We have likened the project to the statewide
effort in the 1980s to regild the Pioneer Statue on the Capitol
Building, where Salem positioned as the capital truly means something to
all residents of Oregon.
The project is currently in the stage of accepting submissions and will be in this
stage of active community participation until July 1st, 2021. More
information on the project can be found at SalemFlagProject.com, and if
you have any questions feel free to reach out to me at this email
address (czk@uoregon.edu) or give me a call at 971-300-2801.
