About QuackHacks:
QuackHacks is the University of Oregon’s flagship hackathon, where innovation, creativity, and collaboration come to life. We bring together students from diverse backgrounds to develop impactful projects in just 36 hours. As we expand our event and reach a broader audience, we’re building a dedicated marketing team to promote QuackHacks across campus, within the Eugene community, and throughout the greater Pacific Northwest and hackathon communities. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event marketing while contributing to a dynamic, student-led initiative backed by a high five-figure budget.

Intern Responsibilities:
As a Design Intern, you’ll play a key role in bringing QuackHacks’ brand vision to life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding the QuackHacks brand, target audience, and event goals.
- Designing cohesive logos, visual assets, and branding elements that reflect the event’s energy and mission.
- Collaborating with team members to brainstorm creative strategies for participant recruitment.
- Creating eye-catching content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms to highlight event milestones, partnerships, and student experiences.
- Assisting in the design of promotional materials such as flyers, social media graphics, and newsletters.
- Ensuring consistency across all visual touchpoints, from digital platforms to printed collateral.

Qualifications & Skills:
We’re looking for enthusiastic students who are passionate about design, creativity, and community engagement. Ideal candidates should have:
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail and consistency.
- Experience with design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or similar platforms.
- Creativity in developing new ways to connect with target audiences through visuals.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
