Call for Student Artists – Opportunity where Materials Fully Funded

Are you a student artist looking to make your mark on campus—literally? Flourishing by Art is a new initiative funded by ASUO, in collaboration with UO Housing, to bring student-created artwork into some of the most visible spaces on campus. We’re inviting current UO students to submit proposals for original art pieces—murals in particular, though all mediums will be considered—that will be installed in high-traffic areas across residence halls. This is your opportunity to showcase your work on a permanent, public platform and leave a lasting impact on the spaces where students live, gather, and grow. Submissions are open to both individual students and student teams!

All selected artists will receive full funding for materials and installation. While completed works will be formally owned by ASUO, every artist will be publicly recognized. Your name will appear on permanent signage next to your piece, and your work will be documented in UO’s official art catalog. Once a piece reaches the end of its life—if the medium allows—you’ll also have the opportunity to reclaim your artwork. Whether you’re an experienced muralist or simply brimming with a vision that deserves a wall, we want to see your proposal. Let your art help this campus flourish!
