Art Exhibit Opportunity for students- Bree’s Way Gallery on First Friday Artwalk

Bree’s Way

Bree Crane

1231 Alder Street

Eugene, OR

Dear Faculty and Students,

I am writing to share an opportunity with you from Bree’s Way, located at 1231 Alder Street, just off the University of Oregon campus. We recently remodeled our back room into a gallery space and have joined the Eugene First Friday Artwalk organized by Lane Arts Council. Each month we will feature a new artist for the duration of the month, and we would love to involve UO students in this process.

This opportunity provides students with real-world experience in:

  • Submitting their work and artist bio for consideration
  • Preparing and presenting their art for public display
  • Labeling and titling their work professionally
  • Deciding whether to offer their work for sale (with a 30% commission) or display as “not for sale.”

At this time, we are accepting only hanging, 2D artwork (20 lbs. or less). Given that Bree’s Way is a metaphysical shop that also hosts practitioners and readers in this space, we especially encourage artwork with themes of nature, people, and metaphysical or spiritual subjects.

Our current featured artist is Anna Bousquet, whose watercolor paintings are on display through the month. We welcome students, faculty, and staff to visit the shop and experience the gallery firsthand.

We hope to collaborate with the Art Department in encouraging students to apply and gain valuable experience in sharing their work with the community. Please feel free to reach out with questions or to discuss how we might connect your students with this opportunity.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the possibility of showcasing the talent and creativity of UO students at Bree’s Way.

Warm regards,

Bree Crane
