The Emerging Leadership Project is a two-term, cohort-based leadership and service-learning experience. Students will spend the year developing their leadership skills and learning about strategies for effective community engagement. They will also get to put their knowledge into practice as they serve in our local community.
Participation in the Emerging Leadership Project provides students with a deeper understanding of their leadership assets and demonstrates how they can use them to create positive change in their communities. In this highly engaging program, students will develop practical skills which are readily transferable to their academic, professional, and personal pursuits.
The project cohort will run throughout the Winter 2026 – Spring 2026. The program is open to ALL students, regardless of previous leadership experience. More information and applications can be found at holden.uoregon.edu/elp. The priority deadline for applications is October 31st, 2025 (Week 5).
