participant needed for Mayr’s Lab within UO psychology department
2019-04-10 CR Approval 10272010.016 fp
Our lab is looking for participants for two kinds of studies: behavioral and EEG. For behavioral studies, you will sit at a desk and run through some behavioral computer tasks. Any studies that use additional methods, e.g., eye tracking, will have that information listed in the study description.
The EEG studies will usually involve one 2-3 hr session during which we will record your brain waves (EEG) while you perform a computer task. The behavioral studies vary: Some studies are single-session, while others are multi-session, and session durations range from 1 to 2.5 hours (exact times listed with each individual study).
For any of our studies, you may also be asked to complete questionnaires designed to assess your beliefs, knowledge, or abilities using paper and pencil. You will be paid at least $10 an hour for your participation. To be eligible, You must be between 18 and 35 years old and have no history of neurological disorders. In addition, you must have normal or corrected-to normal vision. Finally, we cannot perform EEG on participants with open head wounds, dreadlocks, cornrows, or braids that cannot be removed due to recording restraints (although this restriction does not apply to any of the behavioral studies). If you are interested in participating, go to: https://posner-keele.sona-systems.com/ and request an account to sign up.
