Digital Art Cleanup Job

Digital Art Cleanup : Stuff2Color (Eugene, OR) is looking for someone with excellent digital tablet skills (Wacom Tablets or other) to aid in the cleanup process of the designs we receive from our artists. This person is self motivated and can work from home. He or she understands the importance of file integrity with regards to maintaining high-resolution files for export (.pdf, .psd, etc.). Selected person would also be able to quickly turn around files from ‘needing cleanup’ to ‘finished’ in the course of a week.

The process for such tasks would be as follows. File(s) would be sent to student for clean up. File would be high-resolution 600 dpi scan in .psd form. Student would use Adobe Photoshop and Wacom Tablet to clean the lines in the art. Example: fully enclosing circles that to the naked eye appear closed, but actually are not. Straight-hand drawn lines that are jagged would be redrawn digitally to ensure accuracy. Some minor smoothing of rough edges / pencil marks. The removal of accidental ink or pencil marks on the digital files.

Selected student would be fully trained on the cleanup of line-art and fuzzy velvet posters. Although both styles of work have similar clean-up approaches, the 2 styles also require 2 unique approaches.

Requirements: Excellent digital tablet (Wacom) skills. Access to a tablet. Access to Adobe Photoshop (or other. Ability to export .psd’s, .pdf’s while maintaining 600 dpi resolutions. Must be studying/living local here in Eugene. Ability to sign non-disclosure agreement form to keep our digital assets protected.

Additional Skills Desired: Some illustration and freehand (tablet) drawing abilities. Example: design we receive looks great but we would like to add an additional flower to an area that matches the design. Student would be able to mimic style of art and draw additional flower as instructed. Experience with file sharing services such as Box, DropBox, etc.

Compensation: $20-$40 per design (based on experience and size of design
