Eugene Public Library Call to Artists

Call to Artists:
Eugene Public Library’s Sheldon Branch is looking for local artists to participate in an Artist-at-Work program.  This program offers local artists the opportunity to share their craft with the community.  Artists are asked to spend 2 hours working on a project and sharing their knowledge with the public.  The program will be held on Saturday mornings from January through March 2017.  The Library will provide a six foot table and chair for your use during the demonstration.  Please bring samples of your work and/or literature to share with the public.

The Artist-at-Work program is not intended as a venue to sell artwork.  Emphasizing sales risks preventing passersby from stopping to learn more about the demonstration.  No artwork can be sold during the Artist-at-Work demonstrations, and no email sign-up lists are to be filled.  Please bring plenty of business cards to hand out so potential buyers and other interested parties can contact the artist directly after the Library program.

The library welcomes most artistic demonstrations.  For our patrons’ comfort, please refrain from demonstrations that emit toxic or excessive odor or noise.

For more information and to participate, contact Amanda Puetz at the Sheldon Branch (Amanda.d.puetz@ci.eugene.or.us, 541-682-5752)
