KSMoCA Summer Course + Residency in Portland

An experiential learning course and contemporary art
residency inside a K-12 public school.
Join the King School Museum of Art (KSMoCA) summer course and residency program to participate in a collaborative, socially-engaged art project with PSU’s Art & Social Practice Program and MLK Jr School (a K-8 public school in NE Portland).

Over the course of 4 weeks, program participants will act as Artists In Residence at KSMoCA to produce the KSMoCA International Art Fair. The art fair will include a group of 25 elementary school student “docents” and a group of art institutions in Portland including:  PICA, UpFor, Newspace Center for Photography, PNCA, and more! The art fair will take place during Converge 45 (August 11-13) and is open to the public.

Space is filling quickly, sign up now! Course open to non-majors and students not enrolled at PSU.

Dates: July 24 – August 17 (M-Th), 12-4 PM
Credits: 4 (undergraduate or graduate)
