Keena Shaw Northrop Dean’s Art Award
The Keena Shaw Northrop Art Award seeks proposals from current U of O students in any degree program for a wall-based artwork in Fibers (weaving, knitting, crochet, embroidery, quilting, dye, print on textile, etc.) to be displayed in Chapman Hall for the duration of one year. The winner will also receive a $1,000 prize credited to their student account.
Artworks should not exceed 7’ tall x 5’ wide in dimensions and must be able to hang from adjustable hooks using the existing gallery hanging system (no nailing or screwing directly into the wall is possible, nor can the hanging system accommodate extremely heavy artwork).

Send one email with the following files to sdahl@uoregon.edu, with subject line: NORTHRUP ART AWARD
- Written proposal – no more than one page long describing the work(s)
- Any supporting photos, drawings, sketches, or plans for the proposed work
- Up to four photos of past work
- Your contact information (full name, UO email, phone)
Proposals are DUE: 5:00pm on Friday, April 10th, 2020.

Selected artist will be notified within 2 weeks of the submission. Finished artwork will be installed in Chapman Hall between May 18th and May 22nd
