Lane Arts Council’s Artist Grant & Community Arts Project Grant

Applications Open for Artist Grant & Community Arts Project Grant

In addition to the Community Arts Project Grant, Lane Arts Council is launching a new grant for individual artists. Both grants are administered by Lane Arts Council and funded by the City of Eugene Cultural Services Division and individual donors. The Project Grant is also funded by Banner Bank.

Grant funding is for projects happening between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. We hosted two grant information sessions to share more about each grant and their application processes. These sessions were recorded and are now available to view on our Facebook page.

Community Arts Project Grant
Application deadline: May 11, 2020
The Community Arts Project Grant prioritizes projects that emphasize accessibility to underserved audiences and that provide arts programming taking place in the City of Eugene. Individuals, groups, and organizations can apply.

Competitive project proposals demonstrate strategies for community impact and provide access and inclusion to underserved and underrepresented communities whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by ethnicity, economics, or disability. Proposals might include exhibits, performances, festivals, workshops, events, programs and other examples of arts and culture projects.

Individual Artist Grant
Application deadline: May 18, 2020

The Artist Grant provides financial support to individual artists to move forward a new project or creative endeavor that promises to advance their career or artistic development. This might include developing and performing a new original play, generating a new body of work and producing an exhibition or installation, producing and performing new music or dance, writing and performing new poetry, and other creative works.

Projects can be of any or multiple arts disciplines, but artists must apply under one of the following categories: 1) Visual and Media Arts, 2) Music and Dance, and 3) Theatre and Literary Arts.

Projects must culminate in at least one public presentation, free and accessible to the Eugene public. All work must be new or in development and not previously shown.
