call to Oregon artists

Chamber Music Amici announces a call to Oregon artists for its annual art commission, to use the digital images of three original works created for this commission and two more works from the artist’s existing portfolio for use in promoting CMA’s next season. Artists retain all rights to their work, and all media types, from graphic design to water color to multimedia/collage, are welcomed.

CMA invites Oregon artists to submit an application by Friday, November 10, 2023, for the commission, with the three original artworks due March 31, 2024. The commission includes:

  • An award of $2,000 for three original pieces plus time-limited digital rights to two already created pieces from the artist’s portfolio. The digital images of all five pieces will appear on Amici’s posters, programs and other promotional materials during the 2024-2025 season. The artist retains all rights to their work; CMA uses only the digital images of the newly created and existing work.
  • A show at Emerald Art Center (one month) in Springfield and Cascade Manor (two months) in Eugene of the five pieces that make up the commission, and up to five additional pieces by the artist.
  • An Art Opening & Reception at the Emerald Art Center during the Springfield Second Friday Art Walk, Friday, April 12, 2024, to honor the artist and unveil their work, hosted by EAC and CMA, with all publicity and musical entertainment organized by CMA.
