BEST After School Program

The BEST after-school Program at Kelly Middle School is looking for community partners who are willing to lead enrichment classes to join their program for their third session of the 2023-2024 school year. In collaboration with community partners, BEST aims to engage youth in academic and enrichment opportunities that foster self-confidence, determination, the joy of learning, and a sense of community. Community partners are responsible for making a 7-week curriculum for a course they would teach twice a week on-site at Kelly Middle, from 5:00pm-6:15pm (either MW or TTh). Class content could be anything from visual art to dance, science, cooking, etc.

We provide small-group academic intervention services in math and reading, a hot meal, and enrichment classes to spark students’ interest and love of learning and to prepare them for the world beyond primary and secondary education. BEST has been supporting students and their families in Eugene since 2000 and is funded in part by the 21st Century Community Learning Center Title I grant and the Eugene Education Foundation.
