Artwalk and other ART/HAA student opportunities at Emerald Art Center

Linked above is event information from the Emerald Art Center (https://www.emeraldartcenter.org/) — which is located in Springfield, about ten minutes transit from the main campus.

This coming Friday of August 13th, they will be hosting an Art Walk  it’s a free community event featuring several local venues, the murals of Springfield, and much more!

They’re also looking for more student volunteers and members for organization of future events (monthly art walks, the mayor’s art show, etc) and I believe it’ll be a great opportunity for students to collaborate with our local community- and learn about its history, not to mention possibly occupying a space within the center’s galleries to share the artwork of UO students.
